Kleding voor het skieën

Met mijn Analog combo heb ik nooit last gehad van sneeuw dat langs de sneeuwvanger kroop. Zelfs toen ik een keer een zevendubbele flikflak maakte na een enorme 360.
(Park twin-tips en verse poedersneeuw zijn geen geweldige combo.  )
Ik vind een one-piece ook veel minder veelzijdig dan een losse jas en broek.
En tja het ziet er naar mijn inziens ook totaal niet uit.

En als de echte pro's ook zonder one-piece kunnen:

En wat kwam zojuist aan in een onmogelijk klein maar zwaar doosje (ik dacht even dat ik bedrogen werd.  )

Het FD Wear Vertika skipak samen met een lading gratis spullen. (Stickers, t-shirt, muts, bandana en 2 balaclava's.)

Qua fit, iets kleiner dan ik dacht, vooral in de mouwen maar dat is wel een positief punt, de jas is wel een beetje ruim in de taille.
Stof: duidelijk 20k/20k redelijk soepel maar nog stevig genoeg en alle naden zijn sealed and taped.
Ik telde in totaal 17 zakken  en 8 ventilatieritsen daar is niet op bespaard. En de bib is fantastisch, nu zakt mijn broek tenminste niet meer af.

Minpunt: De mouwen zijn afritsbaar en daar zit juist de enige niet waterdichte rits, er zit wel een lap stof overheen dus ik moet maar zien hoe dat gaat in de poeder.

Overigens heb ik, na meerdere malen headfirst in 1,5 m poeder, ook nog nooit sneeuw in mn broek/jas gehad. Het sneeuwvanger principe werkt gewoon goed, zelfs bij mijn Burton kleding, welke echt niet top is.

Snowboarder tuig!

Ik heb even een vraag over sokken. Ik heb nogal snel last van warme voeten tijdens het snowboarden. Dus alle wintersport sokken om mijn voeten warm te houden zijn bij mij overbodig. Nu dacht ik eraan om gewoon lange kousen te kopen die normaal onder een pak gedragen dienen te worden. Maar dan natuurlijk geen hele dure. Waar verkopen ze die voor weinig? Of kom ik dan gewoon uit bij de v&d, hema, we?

@Stansfield: Je kan beter sokken gemaakt voor het skiën/snowboarden kopen ivm versteviging op bepaalde plekken. Under Armour had vroeger een hele dunne skisok die ook uiteraard dienst zou kunnen doen als snowboard sok.


Dit stond overigens een paar dagen geleden op het blog van Jon-Olsson (alleskunner).
Het concept klinkt zeer veelbelovend, geen slappe banaan meer! Alleen die naam is een beetje jammer.

Finally! A new year and a new project is released!

I have done a lot of things and been a part of many projects over the years, but I have only been completely satisifed with very few of them, this is however one that I feel amazing about, so i hope you guys agree! Check it out and pre order at www.mydouchebag.com if you like what you see!



The Douchebag is the result of collaboration between skiers, designers, engineers and a technical university.
First, 150 skiers contributed with their thoughts on what the Douchebag should be able to do. Among them was pro skier Jon Olsson who travels more than 300 days a year with his skis. This process gave us a clear understanding that we had to develop new technologies in order to meet the demand from the modern skier. The Douchebag development team then began the development process in cooperation with the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and the internationally awarded industrial designer Per Finne (who by the way is a ski bum too). While the product was taking shape, we continually involved the skiers to ensure that all aspects of the product were taken into consideration. The result is a patent pending technology that makes all of the desired features possible. We love the final result, and hope this product will be just as useful for you, as it is for us.

Technical description:

Background:
The need for a lightweight ski bag became painfully clear when Scandinavian Airlines suddenly changed their free baggage weight allowances from 20kg to 12kg in 2011. Flying with a ski bag was now nearly impossible without paying expensive overweight charges. That was before the Douchebag came around. Now, you can transport even more gear without reaching the weight limitations for ski gear.

Technical description:
Our patent pending length adjustment system is composed of two top connection rails, two bottom connection rails and our secure lock buckle. Background:
Banana shaped skis (rocker) are a good innovation. However, banana shaped ski bags are a hassle that cause uncomfortable transportation and unnecessary damage to the bag. Technical description:
The Shoulder Carrying System is an adjustable strap that can be attached between the front handle and the side of the bag. The system enables easier transportation by allowing you to tow the bag behind you while freeing your hands for whatever else you need them for. Perfect for heavy bags or long walks.

Background:
A fully packed ski bag is heavy and can be a hassle to carry. Small wheels and bad carrying systems are so last year. That’s why we made one that’s way better.

Dat is zeker een goede, Laurens. Ik heb zo'n standaard onding in de schuur staan en behalve een enkele keer vliegen of in de bus met zo'n ding laat ik hem lekker staan. Er kan onwijs veel in, maar leeg neemt ie nog behoorlijk wat ruimte in de berging in.
