Mooie schoen, MMorley. Zelf overweeg ik ook een paar Alfred Sargents te bestellen, maar dan een Adelaide in de 'Exclusive line', de Moore. Persoonlijk vind ik de hielen van het 'betere' AS-segment te hoog, dus voor mij zouden ze op maximaal 2,5 cm mogen komen (achteraan gemeten, van het stiksel tot helemaal onderaan). Ik hoop overigens ook dat de F-breedte echt F is, en niet overeenstemt met een E bij andere merken. Volgende week ben ik in Londen, en ga ik bij John Rushton in Wimpole street wat AS-schoenen passen.

Here’s a short breakdown of the Letters/Numbers used for: 'Normal' and 'Wide' width fittings.
1) John Lobb use 'E' (D) for 'Normal Width fitting and 'EE' (E)for Wide.
2) Crockett & Jones use 'E' (D) for Normal Width Fitting and 'F' (E) for Wide.
3) Tricker's use Number '5' (D) for Mens Normal Width Fitting and '6' (D) for Wide.
4) Edward Green 'E' (D) for Normal and 'EE' (E) Wide
5) Barker, Grenson, Jeffery West, Alfred Sargent, Charles Tyrwhitt, Joseph Cheaney & Church use 'F' (D) for Normal Width Fitting and 'G' (E) for Wide
What are Sale and Subs?
Slight Seconds will be shoes with very minor cosmetic flaws which will in no way affect the construction; comfort; fit or life expectancy of the shoe. (please note Seconds are NOT second hand they are new shoes). Due to the high quality control any shoe which fails to meet this standard is rejected as a second, the most common reasons being human error & growth marks on the natural leather.
