Geen gekke ring om z'n das,  langere shirtmouwen en iets minder pochet en dasknoop. Dan zou dit een goed pakkie zijn..

Ben het geheel eens met de opmerkingen van Jason, het jasje zit mijns inziens ook goed op de schouders. De 'gekke ring' om zijn das schijnt gewoon de print van de das zelf te zijn. De Sartorialist zegt hierover: "it is just the way the tie was printed". Dit lijkt me gezien de vorm merkwaardig, maar ja.. hij is de fotograaf  

Zelf heb ik ook een pak in dezelfde kleur. Ik combineer 'm altijd met een lichtblauwe, rode of zwarte das, teveel grijs anders.

Klopt, de foto van de man met een emmer(?) op zijn hoofd hoort hier gewoon niet thuis  [-X  . De elegante man daarentegen die de Thom Brown look draagt en uitstraalt  =D>. En voor de liefhebbers: lees het 2e commentaar bij deze foto op de site van Sartorialist, erg interessant en het laatste stukje geeft mijns inziens in de kern aan waar het uiteindelijk om gaat..

This reminds me of a pretty funny incident that occured when I first started working at the law firm I recently joined. Another associate and I were having coffee in the coffee room, and a senior partner popped in for a drink. We made idle chatter with him and he departed. He was dressed for court that day, wearing a slim fitting navy suit with pants that hovered about the shoe. It wasn't a Thom Browne thing, it was a shrinkage thing. The pants had probably been sent to the cleaner one too many times and had probably inadvertently shrunk. The associate I was with chuckled. I chuckled as well, but could only think one thing: that looks damn good! The suit had been worn, washed, worn, washed, worn, washed etc. for so many years that it started to just fit him like a snug little glove. And it looked great. And I think that's what Thom Browne is going for - the long-worn suit aesthetic right off the rack. Soft, snug, with short sleeves and trousers. I personally love it, and, yes, I think it will be a permanent mainstream fit soon enough. It's already happening, even if not on purpose!

Shooting on the street means having to think fast on your feet.

So I see this guy racing down Fifth Ave and he turns the corner at Abercrombie, I get his attention and ask to take his photo for my fashion blog. Without a seconds hesitation his says to me in very serious Ital-English "Not me, I'm a bald fat man!!" I'm a very positive person, so the first thing out of my mouth was "No, your not.....uhm......so?

We stand there looking at each other for a moment and finally I say "But you look so Italian!" That got him.

What a perfect example of Neapolitan style - the right shoes, the right shirt, a great tie and a very nice Spring-ish shade of blue sportcoat. I asked where he got the jacket and with a mix of pride and nonchalance he says "I have my tailor in Naples do it for me."

These are the kind of guys that inspire me and that I wanted to capture when I started The Sartorialist.
