NEW YORK -- Hugo Boss is following its customer right up the executive ladder.
The apparel giant has created a new label, Hugo Boss Selection, and is taking it global this fall as an addition to its flagship Boss Hugo Boss Black Label line. The new nameplate will be launched in a test run in its own 21 Hugo Boss U.S. stores, as well as a select number of doors at Saks Fifth Avenue, Barneys and Nordstrom. For spring 2005, distribution will be broadened to a projected 25 better specialty stores nationally.
Any similarities between Boss Hugo Boss and Boss Selection end there.
Boss Selection is a totally new label designed for the premium market segment and will help fill the niche between Boss Hugo Boss and the luxe Baldessarini collection.
