Remember when women would wear completely nonsensical outfits - like short skirts with Ugg boots? It looked really stupid and lacked coherency. It was as though they threw on whatever trendy skirt they could find and then picked the trendiest boot they had. Maybe it made sense in their little insular world, where fashion is an echo chamber of other trendy girls approving a very narrow aesthetic, but it made no sense to anyone else. This is the menswear equivalent of that. If you’re wearing a layered peacoat over a denim jacket in February, it doesn’t make sense to wear boat shoes. It also doesn’t make sense to go sockless. It just shows you have no clue where these aesthetics come from. It doesn’t matter how many reblogs you get. Those reblogs are just by Tiffany and Allison, who are also wearing the same nonsensical, incoherent look. Reblogs are not a license for your outfit to look like an internet browser with five different tabs open.
